A trail that leads through the middle of the Eifel

If you want to walk through the Eifel and the Monschau region, you need to have good soles. At least those who want to take the "Eifelsteig" under their hiking boots.

From the flat north near Aachen at the starting point of Kornelimünster across the "High Fens", through the lonely Rur Valley, past imposing reservoirs in the middle of the Eifel National Park, the first four stages of the Eifelsteig in Monschauer Land lead you through the Eifel.

The "Monschauer Land" hiking region is a joy for every hiker's heart and offers numerous other adventure loops and themed hiking trails in addition to the Eifelsteig and its partner trails.

Stage 1: Kornelimünster- Roetgen - Stage 1 Total length: 14 km, walking time: approx. 4 h

Warm up for the great Eifel hiking adventure. From the old pilgrimage site, the route leads to the "Gateway to the Eifel".

Stage 2: Roetgen - Monschau, stage 2 Total length: 18 km, walking time: approx. 5 hours

Wafts of mist, gurgling moorland and the bed of an emperor. The "Pearl of the Eifel" shines behind the "Moor".

Stage 3: Monschau - Einruhr, stage 3 Total length: 24.5 km, walking time: 7h

Pearl shells, daffodils, mighty hedges, wild rocks. The "call of the wild" has many voices.
