Located right on the edge of the Eifel National Park, the Rurberg National Park Gate is the perfect starting point for excursions into nature. Whether on foot, by bike or by boat - nature lovers get their money's worth here.

The "Lifelines of Nature" exhibition takes you on a journey through the habitats of flowing and still waters, including from the fascinating flying perspective of a kite. Discover the importance of the Eifel National Park for people and nature through exciting encounters with crayfish, pearl mussels and beavers. Animal tracks guide you through the natural and cultural history of the Eifel, while next door information is projected onto an impressive three-dimensional terrain relief at the touch of a button.

Water sports enthusiasts can purchase daily and seasonal WVER badges and fishing permits on site.

Every 1st, 3rd and 5th Saturday of the month, a free, exciting ranger tour starts at 11:00 am, organized by the national park administration. The tour lasts around 4 hours and offers fascinating insights into the flora and fauna of the national park.

The Einruhr National Park information point is located just a few kilometers from Rurberg. Here you can hire pedelecs for €35.00 per day (advance booking is recommended on +49 2473 9377 18). From Einruhr, you can explore the Eifel National Park and the Obersee on foot, by bike or on board the Rursee-Schifffahrt boats.

The team at the National Park Gate and the National Park Info Point will be happy to advise you on the numerous hiking and cycling trails as well as the highlights of the adventure region. You will also find a selection of souvenirs and extensive information material for your discovery tours at the tourist information points.
