From the large panorama terrace of the Nideggen Youth Hostel, visitors can enjoy a unique view of the wide landscape of the Rur-Eifel region. The surrounding area is characterised by mighty red sandstone rocks, green wooded hills, fertile meadows and small villages embedded in nature.

Nideggen is not called "the gateway to the Eifel" for nothing.

Directions Arrival by public transport: By train to Düren, then by bus 221 to the "Dürener Tor" stop. From there it's 650m to the youth hostel. Or: By train to Düren, then by Rurtalbahn to Nideggen-Brück (approx. 30 min.), from there walk up to Nideggen (approx. 20 min.). Arrival by bus or car: From Düsseldorf, Mönchengladbach, Cologne, Bonn or Koblenz: Via the A1 / A61 motorway to the Erftstadt exit, then continue towards Zülpich (B56). After Erp turn right onto the L33. Change to the L249 on Jülicher Straße and turn right at Abendener Straße towards Im Effels. From Aachen: Take the A4 motorway in the direction of Cologne to the Düren exit, then take the direction of Düren and continue on the B56 to Zülpich / Euskirchen. At the roundabout in Froitzheim, turn towards Nideggen and follow the road for approx. 6 km. Take the second exit at the roundabout and change to Jülicher Straße (L249). Then turn left onto Abendener Straße and turn right towards Im Effels. Parking is available approx. 60 m from the youth hostel.
